We had a very helpful and knowledgeable guide for our visit. Many great costumes or people dressed era-specific.Live musket displays! It was just a little pricey for the 2-3 hours you're going to take visiting the fort. Do it anyway, just go there knowing it won't be "cheap".
So much fun. Very knowledgeable employees who take the roles of their characters with confidence. Friendly staff willing to answer any questions you might have. Would love to come back again.
Our tour guide was a young lady who was so personable and a font of historical info. Very much enjoyed our afternoon there. The musket demo was well worth the tour alone!
Went here to visit the fort and experience a reenactment. The reenactment was amazing, with authentic clothing and equipment. The fort itself was staged with period appropriate items and the museum attached to the fort was very interesting and interactive. All of the staff we talked to were very friendly and eager to help. It's worth the few dollars to visit if you're in the area to experience a little piece of history.
It's a ways off the beaten track in comparison with the rest of the Niagara Falls attractions, but it provided an enjoyable hour or two learning about the history of the border conflict between Canada and the U.S. in the War of 1812. Tour guides dressed in period regimentals provided color and interest. An educational and fun side trip for the whole family.
